What I did here was to erase the dotted lines and add simple shadows to the shapes so they look solid. This way you can see that the shapes warp and distort as they are foreshortened. You can really see it with both shins. If we assume that the left shin is pretty close to how long it really is, we can see that the right shin is very scrunched up due to foreshortening. You're almost looking at the very top of the right shin shape and it's foreshortened so much that it only looks about one third the length of the left shin shape. Look also at the right arm. We know that the upper arm is about the same length as the lower arm, but we see foreshortening here so the bicep looks about half as long as the forearm.

Drawing these simple three dimensional shapes really helps to show how the body is being foreshortened. The simpler you make the three dimensional shape, the easier it is to understand how that shape is being foreshortened. If you need to add simple shading to help see the shapes - go right ahead.
